I came across this term "card pull" in the VpFree glossary and I'm
wondering if it is effective in boosting one's points/comps/cashback
at casinos. My understanding is that a card pull is performed by
pulling out one's card before hitting the draw button when one has
been dealt a jackpot hand. For example -- this really happened a
couple of weeks ago -- I got dealt 4 aces and a high card on DDB
progressive at the Red Dolly. I pulled my customer card from the
machine, held the 4 aces, and hit the draw button. Lucky me, for once,
I was dealt a 3 and thus won $575 for the 4 aces with a kicker. My
question is, did I actually do anything worthwhile in pulling my card
before hitting the draw button?
I suspect that if a casino is tracking net dollars won/lost, then a
card pull is very effective. If a casino is simply tracking coins bet,
it really won't make any difference. Does anyone know how these things
work?
Thanks.
