A friend told me something I never thought of, pulling out the slot card
if dealt a really good hand like quad deuces, 4 to a royal. That way
some of your big wins don't register on the card. Of course this would
not work at a coin out point slot system but... What would happen if
caught doing this by the casino?

Many VP players do this routinely. I have heard that some casinos
may have programming logic in their slot card system to combat this
tactic. Not sure how true or effective this might be. Blackjack
players do a similar thing by secretely pocketing chips while playing
in order to hide their true results. By the way, I would *not*
recommend pulling your card on hands like 4 to a royal or quad deuces
or anything else that might require a hand pay. The slot people
might question why you aren't using your players card when they come
around to pay you. Plus, some casinos have special promotions for
anyone receiving a hand pay which might be of some value to you - but
they usually stipulate that your players card must be inserted at the
time. Much better is to pull your card on a hand like a regular
dealt quad or a dealt full house.
What would happen if
caught doing this by the casino?
I guess it just depends on how seriously a particular casino frowns
on the practice. It could be anything from nothing at all to full
revocation of comps.

bungee/coil type). By simply resting my arm on the cord, and sliding
it towards me, I can pull the card out enough to deactivate it.
