Car Rental Discount Codes

Try doing a Google search. There are maybe 15 or so for Alamo alone that I've used in the past. In the last 18 months, Alamo has beaten Dollar on quotes more often than not. The ones I'm most fond of: 7014267/7014210 (Southwest 3x credit), IG (last minute) 7014310 (use with promo code WKND) (special weekend promo). When I need a car in Vegas, I'd say I'm using Alamo 75+ACU- of the time now, mostly because of the excellent Southwest promos.

I don't remember the codes for AX or Costco, there was a very good AX promo a couple of years ago, who knows, it may return, the Costco one is ok.

Finally, and this applies even to LAS, sometimes you have to play a little poker in getting the best deal. I look at a rate quote sometimes and laugh, knowing it's a bluff and the price will go down eventually. First, book something, so you have a rate locked in. But do check every couple of days or so, because you never know when the rates will go down.

Finally, there's always Priceline and Hotwire.

I use sidestep.com. Once i find the cheapest companies i then go to their websites to see if there is a promotion on. It takes a bit but I usually get a comment or two from the CRF staff when they see the rate i am paying and they don't know how it got so cheap.
