Cannery is a bit off I think

I returned from 10 days in Vegas, did not catch a Royal but did catch the flu!!!

I spent some time at the Cannery which had some nickle FPDW machines which I could practice on without hurting myself too much. I recommend this for newbies like myself learning......smoky in there, but not a bad place. Lots of locals.

They had a five times points promo on Sunday so of course I played there a lot and put 500 dollars through and earned 500 points. I did not get my 5 X points, asked why not, and they said it was because I played a FP machine. I asked where did it say that and they said some of the FP machines are marked "Promo does not apply" but the bank I played did not say so....an oversight..... and to boot the machines had the 5x sticker on them, another oversight.

Then to really confuse things, the manager I was speaking to said that only three of the five or six machines in the bank were FP machines and the other three were not.....only three had the 100.7% payback sign on them.

I looked at the paytables and they were all the same for sure. I said how could that be as the machines are random and they all say they are using a 52 card deck.

He said that may be so, but the payouts are still different and that only three machines are FP and gave me a funny smile. The others are not he said.....

I'm a newbie, so I shut up thinking that one of us did not know what he was talking about..... and it was probably me.......but I still can't figure out what he meant.

Any reasons that anyone can think of???

I am positive they were all FP paytables, and they were all the same. I had the strategy cards with me and compared them over and over.....

I think this guy did not understand VP or else there is something else that I missed completely, or the machines are not random, a no no I thought....

I go to the cannery a few times a week -- played there
this morning a few hours.
There is a bank (of 5)nickel FPDW and the 5x sign was
on them, however you only get straight points-- no
multiples. All 5 are full pay..
5x points doesn't apply to positive games.
There is another bank that looks like a bank(of 4)
FPDW that are quarters--however--the two on the ends
have a sign on them that says(100.8%) the two in
between are not full pay and have no sign. The casino
employee may have been thinking of those machines.
