High Fives is 8/5 Jacks or Better with 3 fives paying 5 for 1 instead
of 3 for one and 4 fives paying 100 for one instead of 25 for one.
There is another version called High Sevens which can be found at the
Carson Nugget in Carson City, Nevada. It can be found in many of
their 5-cent, ten-cent and 25-cent progressives and you will probably
find it for dollars non-progressive. The dollar progressive is
gone now but was one of their strongest plays. But the quarter
progressive is still there. It's probably their strongest play
percentagewise these days for someone just walking in the door and
looking for something to play. I can't remember where I put the
percentage of the game at, but I think it was above 99.8%. Anyways,
the meter runs .5% and the card is worth .5%, then all the money in
the meter above $1000 when you walk in the door.
Good luck.
PS I'll be joining your group when I get the chance Linda. Very busy
today.
Thanks Harry, Babe and Howard,
Sounds like the game--one I've never played-- has the same pay
table as 8/5 JOB and pays double for three 5's or four 5's. The ER is
99.72%, making it a good game.
The question about this game came up on my forum, BEV. If I come
across it, it's a game I'd definitely play. Think the only strategy
adjustment would be to hold just the three 5's, dealt a FH containing
trip fives. (That's given a 30-coin payout for the dealt fives
instead of sticking with the 40 coins for the pat FH; you could draw
the fourth 5 or back into another FH.Think you'd keep the two pair,
even with a pair of fives.Otherwise use the 8/5 JOB strategy.)
I had wondered because the poster saw someone making some unusual
moves, like keeping kickers. Linda
