Cal Neva

I'll be in Reno for the Brews, Blues, & Bar-B-Q July 6-8. I'll have a
number of newbie friends with me.

In the past, whenever I've brought a new person to Reno, I've taken him
to Cal-Neva for the new players promo. Last time, we managed to hit a
$400 Royal playing multi-play dimes, retained $300 profit, plus $200
more profit when Cal-Neva matched the first $200 winnings with free
play. Cool.

Now I've heard that the promo has changed... but last weekend I was in
Reno (by myself) and saw the "$200" promo sign still displayed at Cal
Neva. So I assume the promo has just been changed. Can anyone tell me
what the rules for the promo are now? I'd like to know if it's worth
our while for me to direct all my friends there.

Many thanks for any info.

It's been changing so fast that by the time you get there it may have
changed again. Check the link:

The latest version of the promotion is milestone based. In the
original promo, Cal-Neva would reimburse actual losses up to $200. Now
you have to earn X points (i.e. the milestones) to reach "Y"
reimbursement.

Using an example, in the original promotion, if you lost $150, you get
the $150. In contrast, now you have get X points before Cal-Neva
reimburses the same $150.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. The one time the promo really paid off for me was
when I hit a dime Royal and got the $200 in free play for WINNING over
$200. Does the promo still give you free play for winning, or just for
losing?

Thanks,
