We are not trying to leave LV with more than we bring. Rather, we are
trying to minimize our trip expense, fully realizing that we have to
fight for every $.25 or every $5 bet we make.

Your attitude is excellent and makes perfect sense. Gone are the days when good video poker plays were easy to find and included in all promotions. Now people just want to have a good time and stay within their pre-determined budget.

One of the most important steps is using tutorial software for home practice--I recommend WinPoker. That's www.videopokerpractice.com
Honestly, I can't imagine venturing into a casino to play video poker without having practiced playing at home. I will have a feature article in Midwest Gaming and Travel, December's issue, on this very topic.

Strategy cards are also very important, especially for beginners. You need to use the cards during your practice sessions if you plan on bringing them with you. That way you'll know whether or not they're accurate and usable during play. I include free strategy cards with my book, "The Video Poker Edge".

Play smart and have fun! Linda
