Thank you so much Dan, and Shargoy on previous message. The wife and I
are currently scheduled for a 4-day beginning 11/20.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. This
information is clearly a trip breaker. We'll go to plan B if it turns
out the axe has truly fallen.

Can't give enough love to vpFREE.

Lou and Tara in Fullerton, CA.

Just a reminder for you HET/Vegas out-of-towners who are in good standing.
If you are going to jump the Caesars/HET ship there appears to be some evidence
that your offers will not dry up immediately.

It seems no-play for a trip is better for you than just dabbling. Book
yourself some offers and use the online TR booking option which seems to extend at
least six months out.

You have time to establish yourself somewhere else.

This is true. HET is the most "patient" of most casino to see whether you might come back.

For out-of-towners, playing some lower-EV VP might pay in the long run because HET is very strong on mailed room offers. Some may feel that this might be worth for higher-level rooms, like at Caesars.

Yes, HET likes to "reward future play" as CEO Gary Loveman likes to
say. What this means is that if you're a regular, you can expect less
in the way of offers, as HET feels they have your business, you're
happy, they don't have to do as much to keep it. In short, it's the
reverse of how most casino marketing programs operate.

When you take some time off, the offers improve. At one HET property,
I was at $250 levels for shopping. I took 9 months off, and got a $1K
Visa card offer. I went from getting an offer that really didn't
ecognize my play appropriately, to getting a ridiculous one because I
hadn't come in in a while.

I disagree with Jean's advice for tourists, particularly tourists who
are at least minimally VP-savvy. If you can play $1 9-6 Jacks Triple
Play, there are a number of properties in town that would love to have
your business. You might have to play $30K or so ci/day to get what
you want, but getting RFL on $40EV isn't a bad proposition as all if
you can afford the variance.
