Caesars LV Rooms

Given your choice (for those familiar with Caesars LV room options)
any chance you might opt for a Deluxe Augustus room over Premier
Palace (2 b/r, connecting shower)?

Any other attractive, comparable C. options that are competitive with
a Premier Palace room?

Also, what view would you elect in each case? (In the case of Palace,
I presume overlooking the pool.)

- Harry

I would always opt for the Deluxe Augustus room over looking Bellagio fountain,
the only negative is traffic noise.

Our (my better half and I) personal choice is the Premier Palace (2 b/r, connecting shower)
at CP/LV. Two separate bathrooms are a nice convenience and the double shower heads
are luxurious (and also "interesting" for other reasons....LOL)

The slight downside (again, only our opinion) is the long walk from the Palace Tower to
the Diamond Lounge and the rest of the casino.

We have found the Augustus Tower Deluxe Room to be bit sterile.

As to the "view", there is a lot of ugly construction to the south of the Augustus Tower
right now, so, palace Tower or Augustus Tower, our preference is to face north. (Nothing
like having one of the crane operators looking right in your window....LOL)

I have never stayed in the Palace Tower rooms with the 2 bathrooms. I have
stayed on the top level... maybe they call it the concierge level? Anyhoo,
my usual preference is for the Augustus room. We had a very nice corner
room once, somewhat larger than standard with views out west and south to B
and the Strip.

Stayed there a couple weeks ago in a refurbished Forum Tower room. It was
gorgeous, electronic drapes, TV built into the bathroom mirror, extra
widescreen flat TV.. Very convenient location, come out of the elevators
right next to the TR desk. I know it's the oldest tower, but you certainly
couldn't tell from the room we had.

know it's the oldest tower...

I believe they go Augustus, Palace, Forum, Centurion and Roman from new
to old.

The renovated rooms in the Forum tower is a nice third option. When I was
there a bit over a month ago there seemed to be only a couple of floors
completed though.

Correct. And if you get stuck in the Roman tower you will not like it. I would rather have a room at CircusCircus. A real letdown to book Augustus online and be relegated to this tower upon arrival......

The extensive feedback to my query is valuable and very much
appreciated. Looks like a 6-night trip is on for the last week in
April

I booked a comped room online at Caesars for later this month and it
shows up as "Premium Palace Tower Room". Is there any chance of
getting upgraded when I check in? I will be arriving early on the day
I check in. Is it still possible to slip the check-in person some cash
to try for an upgrade (and if so, how much and how to ask)? Should I
first just ask if any of the newer rooms are available?

What do you want it to be upgraded too? IIRC, the Premium Palace
Tower room is actually the Petite Suite with 2 bathrooms and the 2
person shower. It may not be as new as an Augustus Tower room, but I
consider it to be a much better room overall (so does Harrah's). When
I haven't played enough to get that room I get 'downgraded' to an
Augustus Tower. If, when you check in, you are given the Petite Suite,
I'm sure they would be happy to move you down to an standard Augustus
Tower room.

Take Care,
Mark

I agree. We still use Caesars as a place to lay our heads and prefer
the Palace Tower Petite suites to standard Augustus. The walk from the
parking garage is slightly shorter and the room itself is a bit nicer
IMO. If you use valet, cab it or hit the Diamond Lounge frequently
than Augustus is the better choice.

When I made the reservation online I couldn't get the room
descriptions to display properly and assumed "Premium" was just a
fancy way of describing a standard room. Assuming they do actually
give me that room I'll be happy to keep it - thanks for the info!
