It's not just in Las Vegas. On my most recent trip to Kansas city,
8/5 JOB was the best pay table at Harrah's and Ameristar, and 7/5 the
best at Argosy.
The indian casinos here in Oklahoma pay 8/5, so if it wasn't for Craps
and Roulette I wouldn't need to go to Harrah's KC.
It is simply another sign of the corporatization of Amerika. Anything
to bump up the stock price in the short term, to hell with long term
profitability. Probably a gambling industry management fad for
executives who don't know how to manage.
