Isn't it interesting that they are mucking around with the machines between
their Mother's Day and Father's Day shopping spree offers? Many of us will
come and shop but not play. Maybe that is part of the experiment. Hope they
like the results.

Last week I went to Caesar's for the Mother's Day shopping spree, promising myself not to
play any VP there as the paytables are so lousy. I spent about two hours checking out the
stores that one was allowed to shop in only to find out that most of the merchandise was
either junk or way too overpriced. I finally ended up with some leather goods that were
worth half of whatever their price tags said, but since the shopping credit I had received
covered the lot I had no reason to complain. On my way through the casino to my room in
the Augustus Tower, I noticed that the two multistrike poker machine next to the Shadow
bar were empty and weakwilled as I am I promised to myself to only put in $40.00. Playing
.25c DDB I hit four deuces and a three for $200.00 on the first line immediately and
several hands later I got up to the third line where I was dealt two aces and two tens. I
discarded the tens and pulled the other two aces but no kicker. I cashed out $1040.00 all
within six minutes of play. Best trip to Caesars in a long time and I hardly played!

Yes, I was particularly upset to notice that they have downgraded ALL
of their $100 FPDW machines.
