Caesars ----> Harrahs (a fait accompli ?)

Caesars and Ballys had VP machines that we played all the time (JOB,
NSUD, BP) and we earned a reasonable amount of "Park Connection" comps
that are unused.

Can we say "goodby" to all of this, with everything evolving to the VP that is
presently at Harrahs on the strip right now?

LVH pretty much stayed the same with the change to Resorts International.

Is this a time to cry (or, am I not seeing something, and it is time to rejoice)?

I have just returned from a stay at Caesars in LV and would like to
mention
that when I went to the Connection desk to get my cashback check, the
lady
looked up my account and informed me that I had some comp dollars
about to
expire ($60.00). It seems I had not used comp dollars from a trip
from over
thirteen months ago and unless I used them by June 15th they would
vanish
into the ether. As I was leaving in the next hour for the airport I
had little choice
but to run the gauntlet in the Caesars gift shops to use them up.
Crikey what a
lot of garbage they sell! I managed to get some stuff for the kids of
some
friends back home and reading material for the plane.

So in case you have comp dollars sitting at Caesars, make sure you
use them
up!

that are unused.

FWIW About two weeks ago an employee at Caesars
Indiana told me comp balances would be carried over
when Harrah's takes over and there wouldn't be much
change for about a year. He said that is what the
employees have been told.

The FTC has now approved the merger and all that
remains is The Las Vegas Gaming Commission and that
should happen in a few days.
