Caesars downgrades

By now we are all familiar with the decimation of Caesar'svideo poker
inventory. My wife and I will be there for five days at the end of the
month. I will speak to several management level employees to try and
find out if any positive changes are possible[it couldn't get any
worse]. Has anyone gotten any info from any employees above the host
level?

It can always get worse.
And, by God, it will.
Count on it.

I was over at Caesars at the end of last week, and even the one
remaining bank of good machines (in the separate enclosure near the
high limit slots) has been worked over. They've replaced two of the
machines with KENO only machines, if you can believe it...and while
there are still several positive machines for $5 and higher players,
there are now only 2 or 3 good machines at the $1 level.

As you might expect, these very few machines are almost always
occupied. I waited for quite a while, and finally jumped on one that
came open, but didn't do much good on it.

I'm sorry to hear that they're working over the machines by the garage
entrance, too. It amazes me that, for all the money the casinos bring
in, and for as few VP machines as there are relative to the rest of
the inventory, they still feel compelled to downgrade the VP inventory
to squeeze out the last quarter or dollar. Yes, I know that's how they
make their money, but there's also a balance to be struck between
profit and keeping the customers happy.

I was at Caesars last week also, and had difficulty only in the
morning getting on the two 9/6 JOB $1 machines. I only go to Vegas
once or twice a year and this time I had one of my best trips ever.I
hit two royals, one on the above mentioned machines and one at
Orleans playing .50 DW. While i was playing at the Orleans they stuck
a note on the bank of full pay machines that they would under go
maintenance that evening. I thought that they were going to take away
all the good plays but and glad to here that they are still some left
even if they took out the two best plays. I got very lucky at Caesars
and am afraid I did not help the situation over there any by hitting
the royal. By the way,I held four cards and drew the fith for both
royals.
