15 yrs.I will not play short pay VP... period.

B,

I'm just agonizing over this whole thing....it's going to be very hard for
me to wean myself from Caesars....keep hoping they get sold to someone else:(
I'm committed to them for the January trip and my host is bringing my nephew
into Pure so I feel like I can't stiff her on play this time. When I look
to plan the next trip, though, I'm going to have to start thinking about other
places. Did Reno about 20 years ago - I just didn't "love" it there. I've
actually begun considering Atlantic City - maybe the Borgata - haven't been
to AC for 15 or 20 years, too. I'm in the same boat you are - retired, so I
have time to shop around. Problem is ambience and hotel rooms are as
important to me as gambling. Like I said, Mohegan Sun is actually beginning to look
good<ggg> - at least for JorB.
Heading down there tomorrow for the giveaway.

Hope to see you down there one of these days.

Bio and Sandy,
Retired and playing AVP is nice. Its not that time is cheap as much
as AVP is not a relaxing "hobby."
When you say "time is cheap," its really you can relax between
gambling sessions!
I bet  you are having fun at a minimal cost or even a small
profit.
Lots of opportunities still available when "time is cheap" and you
can fly 1200-2500 miles for less than $300.
Some good plays in AC. Its tougher for us in Boston to get to AC at
a reasonable cost than Vegas. I can't drive there - Its just not fun
and time isn't cheap for us -right now. Five more years at 63 with
me. Then I can do the "penny a hand" playing like Elliot Shapiro
(God bless him).

AVP ? Certainly you can't be using the term Advantage Video Poker
when referring to the Sun!? Maybe RVP( Recreational Video Poker) is
more like it.

Larry,
I was referring to Bio and Sandy going to Nevada to play AVP
because "time is cheap" for them. Still AVP in Nevada. Plenty of penny
a hand machines as Elliot Shapiro used to say. When retired, I figure
you can enjoy AVP because you have plenty of time between sessions.
I don't think its wise for someone with a full time job to vacation in
Vegas gambling 10 hours/day. That's fun but you can burn out between
job and hobby. Personal experience.
