Caesars downgrades mild vent

I have been staying twice a year at Caesars for about three years
now, and have remainded optimistic that Harrahs would not treat the
VP inventory Like they did at the Rio. Well uunfortunately, with the
downgrading of all the $ JOB and NSUD I can't afford to lose money at
a rate excellerated by these downgraded pay tables. Even though they
get a very small part of my gambling budget when I play at Caesars
the big win for Harrahs is that my wife plays the slots almost
exclusively.

Since she can play WOF (Wheel of Fortune) in almost any casino on the
planet it is mostly my decion what casino we gamble at. As it looks
now, we will probably stiff Caesars on our next trip by staying in
the Augusta tower and then go establish ourselves at Winn or the
Venetian. I am sure that this stratagy which I beleive someone on
this board mentioned before will bring Harrahs to their knees. LOL.
Of course, if there were enough people in my situation it actully
would have a negative effect at Caesars bottom line however, I am
sure that we are of just a small group (but propfiable one) that
Caesars feels can be washed out with all the exclusive VP players of
decent VP. This is such an in my face type of strategy by Harrahs
that I feel I dare not give them one more dollar of our gambling
budget. If they still send me free room offers in the mail I will
just rinse and repeat until they stop.

Thanks for letting me have this mild vent.

Right now, I'm staying at the Rio (comp'ed) but going across the street to the Gold Coast for most all of my gambling. Double points and daily drawings for $$.

Upside

Actually, I think Harrah's wants you to leave. Not
you exactly, but Harrah's seems to have very little
interest in maintaining the old Caesars players. They
believe that you and every other old Caesars customer
can be replaced by an established Harrah's customer.
They will bring in those people who are used to Rio
and used to losing at a faster rate than the Caesars
customer. A small difference per person but
multiplyed by thousands of people, Harrah's thinks you
are hurting their bottom line.

It is just the continuation of the destruction of
Caesars.
In the first month of the Harrah's buyout, they fired
all the old pit bosses as a money saving operation.
These were some of the most knowledgable pits in
Vegas, able to protect one of the best blackjack games
in Vegas. They were paid more than Harrah's pits (who
generally are amongst the absolute worst in the
country) so they had to go.
Then, the destroyed the good $10 game and
re-introduced the 6/5 single deck, which gave their
new, untrained pits nothing to worry about because the
game was so bad that it needed no protecting.
Then they took the best $100 double deck blackjack
game (a tie) in Vegas and upped the limit to $500
while destroying the game and making the game the
exact same game you can play at any Coast casino for
$5. Strange, but no one plays that game now.
Now, they destroy the VP.

I believe that because there is still a decent $25
blackjack game at Caesars, that in the next few months
it will also be replaced by the horrid Harrah's
version.

Stiff them and move on. They do not want you anyway.
