Caesar's Changes

The 15/9 DW paytable for the MS machines near the Shadow Bar applies only to dollar play.
As I recall, lower denominations have an inferior paytable. The nearby Super Times Pay
are still full pay for JOB only.

Last Tuesday, my host Cheryl at Caesar's warned me to cash out all cash back before
Harrahs comes in and converts to their system, supposedly in late February. She said comp
(i.e. food and retail) dollars should be fine, but be aware that the 13-month Connection
Club expiration time limit becomes 6 months once Total Rewards takes over. Best to use
any and all Connection comp dollars by late Spring. In that regard, the new gift shop in
the Augustus Tower has good pickings, though at typically inflated hotel prices.

Am I thinking wrongly here: I thought Harrah's 6-month rule was you just had to PLAY and put on at least one point every 6 months and that would save all your banked RCs. That's a lot different that using or losing them in 6 months. Caesar's would go away after 13 months no matter how often or how much you played during that period.

Yes, that's correct. I've been accumulating Total Rewards points far
faster than I spend them. My oldest points are much older than six
months.

Also, the following Q&A appears on caesars.com concerning the
conversion:

What will happen to my Connection Cash in Las Vegas?

Connection members will receive outstanding Connection Cash value in
the mail. If you earned Connection Cash in Las Vegas, you will be
sent a cash coupon for the value generated at each casino. For
example, if your connection Cash balance was $40, and $20 was earned
at Caesars Palace and the other $20 was earned at Flamingo, you will
receive a cash coupon for $20 within days of the Flamingo conversion.
Then a second coupon for $20 will be sent to you within days of the
Caesars Palace conversion.

Still, as Jean Scott recommends, always take your cashback before you
leave the casino. You never know what tomorrow will bring - for the
casino or for you.

This is a good point and one I considered prior to check out this
morning. Since Harrah's has no CB and therefore no CB accounts, any
banked CB might just disappear. Another good reason to clear all CB
from your account at the end of every trip.

On a related subject, Flamingo is now a TR property and connection
dollars earned at other properties can not be used for comps there.
Dollars earned at Flamingo are supposed to have been wrapped into the
TR system. I wanted to use Caesars comp dollars at the Flamingo and
this inconvenienced me a bit. Paris and then, I believe Caesars will
follow.

Although I feel it is always good to take cashback on the current
trip, this is what the Harrahs site says in questions and answers:

The unknown is how long the coupons will be good for.

Also, I believe it was the Flamingo Laughlin that was sold by
Harrahs/Caesars -- not the Flamingo Las Vegas which is a key part of
Harrahs plan to possibly re-develop the east side of the Strip.
