Caesar's Birthday Offer

*i can't remember reading about this before (unfortunately, i have a
terrible memory), but i thought this offer was interesting. during my
birthday calendar quarter (oct-dec), one time i can decide that. after play,
i would like that day's earned base reward credits (not bonus credits)
doubled, up to a 5000 credit match. not a bad 'gift' for this time of year
when we might be close to reaching a next card level.*

I believe this is the first time they have offered base reward credits.

I have received other similar birthday offers over the years from the Caesars group but never for base reward credits

My interpretation was I only got a 5000 point bonus ($50 value). Are you assuming the 5000 point bonus applies to your tier points for card level too? Is that why you are saying reward credits are better than bonus credits?

I'm skeptical they would give you an offer that increases your tier score.

Are you sure they aren't saying base credits to distinguish from bonus credits for the extra award?

i.e. I would find it more likely they are saying that if you earn X base credits and Y bonus credits they will give you an additional X in bonus credits, up to X = 5000 (and the Y are ineligible for matching).

But you're looking at the offer and I'm not, so if that's really what it says, then enjoy!

I've received this offer the last two years from Ballys AC. Yes, they add base reward credits, affecting your tier score.

I got the same offer. Doesn't do me much good since I'm already close to 125,000 tier, and there is nothing much beyond that unless you REALLY play a lot. [Folks whose birthdays are in the first quarter/half of the year fare much better with this offer.] But, ladies and gentlemen, in order to claim the entire 5,000 points ($50 comps, as someone pointed out), you'd have to run $50,000 through VP machines (or $25,000 through regular slots). When's the last time one of your friends told you to go out and buy a birthday present from him/her, but spend your own money -- then, maybe they'll gift wrap it for you at their expense. If I qualified for the entire amount, Caesars gets $25,000-$50,000 of my money (minus whatever I might win), and I get $50 in comps in return? This is no gift, in my opinion. (I just got $200 in free play from Dover Downs in Delaware, and I play not nearly the amount there that I do at Caesars casinos.) ~Darryl

I had the offer for Sept.-Nov. Earned 5023 tier points on 9/23.
Went to total rewards 9/24 am. Tier points went from 106000 to 111600 that evening. This was at Showboat.

*in all fairness, though, the fact that you can play for three months, and
then *after* you have a high rc day anytime during that period claim the
'gift' makes it a nice offer, imho. i don't have to play for it on a given

The offer is what it is ... a modest gimme (which is nothing to write home about, but definitely better than a kick in the pants).

I value the $50 comp. As far as the tier points, most years the increment is of no added value for me. However, last year, it was a timely bump over the 125K Signature Experience threshold permitting me to book within the timeframe I was looking for.

"...I just got $200 in free play from Dover Downs in
Delaware, and I play not nearly the amount there that I do at Caesars casinos..."

Dover Downs?
According to a casino guide website:
"...By law, all video lottery games must return between 87% and 95% of all wagers on an annual basis. Games can return above 95% but only with the Lottery Director's approval..."

(The article also noted DD now has tables and an iteration of sports betting and hotel rooms so the joint is a full casino with horsies too boot.)

As far as VP, the 95% top EV requirement would make the best game (without Lottery approval), 5/5 JB:-) What do you play with a $200 offer at a joint like that? Can you use at the horsies?

There are no DE casinos in the VPFREE2 database. Maybe DD should be added and ranked as the #1 casino in Deleware. For some reason, I have a feeling that the Deleware model will be used here in Mass when our 3 "full resort-style gaming complexes" are built.
Break a leg.

My wife and I went to Dover Down's over the summer. They had a real small video poker section and it was lousy pay tables. But my wife liked the fact that its 100% smokefree, and they gave us a pretty good deal for showing our diamond card's from Atlantic City. About 100 bucks in free slot play if I remember rigth.
Were still getting offer's to come back, free rooms and play and stuff.
