Caesars August Tower Offer runaround

I received an offer from Caesars yesterday, their "Augustus Tower
Invitation" - 3 comped nights in the new tower any time Sept. 1 - Oct.
31 plus a $75 comp credit.

Phoned them right away and gave the agent the desired dates and the
offer # she requested that's printed on the invitation. She booked us
and told me my Caesars record shows 2 nights in the Palace Tower ONLY
and that I could not possibly have an Augustus Tower offer since I
don't qualify and any offers for that new tower are not out yet.

I must have (politely) read the invitation to her 3 times and she
still didn't believe me, stating there's no way we got that kind of an
offer. I volunteered to fax her the invitation or have her pass me
over to a host but she wouldn't budge. After about 2 more times of
then (firmly) asking her to send me to a host, she reluctantly booked
the offer. I did tell the agent we would bring the offer with us but
she said it wasn't necessary. Huh?

I phoned back today during a different shift time and verified the
reservation.

Is this how it is dealing with Harrah's system? Combine that with the
probable loss of the 9/6 JOBs and it will be time to end a long love
affair with Caesars Palace!

One thing, at least, that Harrahs brings into the merger hoopla is quality customer service. I have always found them to be very accommodating, and have never had a problem with getting them to honor any offer.

Granted, I don't ask for much, and don't get a lot of offers but so far so good. I think you just got a bum to answer the phone that day.
