Caesars and Showboat AC are slipping

<> We were in AC 1 1/2 weeks ago. Played VP at Caesars. Good news was I won the 25c JOB 9/6 progressive for 1,060. Bad news was the quality of the service. Slot attendant showed up immediately, but it took half hour before he returned with $$. A suit showed up in 10 minutes offering to help, and then the suit told me the wait could be long because of the massive layoffs at Caesars. When the slot attendant did return, he too talked about the massive layoffs. Was just happy to have a job. Ate in Caesar's AC buffet because we had a coupon. Long, long lines even for platinum, because they were using only half of their seating. Food quality has slipped at Caesars.
<> Stayed at Showboat AC - the fees for a comp continue to increase. Played JOB in HOB. Sorry to hear about the new JOB cutbacks in HOB. Place was not busy. Always liked buffet at Showboat, but in our last two visits it was not open.
<> If you want to find out what is going on financially at Harrah's, google "harrah's cutbacks" and you will learn more than you ever want to know. Theirs was a leveraged buyout at top dollar. Since then value of Harrah's has dropped (they did writeoff), but the massive loans and leveraging remain the same. Who takes the hit? Loyal staff and faithful custmers. Caesars and Showboart AC are not what they used to be.
