cache creek

My wife and I recently visited the Cache Creek casino north of San Francisco.

What a great experience. One of the nicest casinos we have ever been in. Employees were customer-service conscious. For the most part food was good. Was not smokey at all. Overall great experience.

Can't tell you much about paytables. Ultimate X which we played was 9-6 in nickels, dimes and quarters. They had 50 cents and dollar in high rent district but did not venture there.

They had plenty of help and were prompt on hand pays. They were right there when the lights began blinking.

Only drawback on handpays was they started at $500. Asked why and they said it was because of a promotion on our bank of machines that included 5 times for a sequential royal and 10 times for a dealt sequential. They also needed 3 people to pay off a handpay instead of the normal 2.

Signing up for slot club included $25 for any restaurant, of which there are a half dozen.

One criticism: Stay away from the buffet. Wasn't good.

Are you sure about the pay table? That would be pretty good. 9/6 Ultimate X JOB is half a percent positive, even without a multiplier-dependent strategy.

Based on a visit several months ago, I strongly disagree about the buffet. I hope that they haven't changed. Maybe it's a question of personal taste. One nice thing is that the buffet stays open quite late.
