Thunder Valley, through its affiliation with Station Casino, has
been running a promo for slot & vp players. It's called Thunder
Strike Jackpot and it starts at $50,000 and must be awarded at
$150,000 to a certain somebody who happens to be playing at a slot
or vp with his/her player's card. It doesn't have to be a winning
combination. TV has added an extra $50,000 if you play $1 or higher
machines and another extra $50,000 between midnight and 8 am of each
day (in theory, you could win $250,000). The good news is TV's
website shows the updated Jackpot level in case you want to wait for
the right time. There are 2,800 machines in TV so playing two
machines at once increases your odds to 1 in 1,400.
Recently, Cache Creek started its own version called Cache Fever
Jackpot (amount is also listed on its website). The Jackpot starts
at $20,000 and must hit by $30,000. The jackpot increases at a rate
of 20 cents per ten seconds or $1.20 per minute. In theory, the
slowest cycle is once ever 8,333.33 minutes or 138.89 hours or 5.78
days. $1.20 per minute is the same as $72 per hour or $1,728 per
day. Must have players card in the machine and winner is chosen at
random. Cache Creek has 2,600 slots and video poker machines.
TV has then sinced responded by awarding each non-Thunder Strike
winner player $50 in Xtra play. That means if the Thunder Strike
gets hit and it wasn't you, then you get $50 of free play in
consolation.
