As someone posted earlier, some of the bars are moving. We were there
last night (10/31) and the Cabertet bar was closed. It will be moved
to the right where the old change booth was and a new lounge will go in
it's place. The Hall of lost tribes bar will be moved in the future
along with the closing of the bow and arrow bar (replaced with a noodle
bar for the asian pit they already have converted) Hopefully they will
only close one bar at a time and the $1 Jacks remain after the moves.
It also looks like when it is all done that there should be 20-40 more
bar top seats. On a side note there was a man playing the $5 triple
play and hit a royal on the second line. I congratulated him on his
win while he waited well over 30 minutes for his check to arive. If he
reads this board congrats again on the hit!!! -Russ

Russ,
Thanks for the heads up. It will be interesting. Keep hope alive.

The best thing would be if they moved the 9/6 Jacks back to the casino
floor. Frankly I don't see that happening, nor do I see the $ 9/6
Jacks remaining at the bars. Although there are things I like about the
Sun, Atlantic City continues to look better for this Long Islander.

Larry,
Wow - That was a long time ago in a far away land. Dating yourself
What other good machines do you remember at Mohegan Sun? I remember the
super aces multiline play but that's as far back I can recollect.

A few years ago (maybe 4) the bar in the race book a a couple of .25
machines with NSUD, 9/6 Jacks, 9/7/5 DB and 8/5 Bonus. When they
converted to MGMD/TITO machines they were gone. -Russ

It was only less than 3 years ago (end of '03) they still had one row
of 9/6 JoB slant-tops to the right of the Wolf Den, until the poker
room got converted.
Guys,
I guess three years ago is a long time for a VP gambler. Lot of good
plays are now gone in Las Vegas as well. My favorites: LVH $1 PE
with .66% CB and 10/7 DB 50 cent Multistrike at River Palms. (What a
fun ride)!

Competition is wonderful. Need more and a lot of it.

Voters will decide Tuesday Nov. 7 whether to amend their State
Constitution to let the Narragansett tribe build a casino with its
partner, Harrah's Entertainment in West Warwick, RI. The town has all
ready okayed it. "The random sample of 400 registered voters statewide
puts opposition to the proposed West Warwick casino at 52 percent,
support at 39 percent, with 9 percent undecided. The poll was conducted
between Oct. 27 and 30." If you know anyone in RI, it would help to
get them to vote for it. Foxwoods draws greatly from RI, and it would
foster competition.
