Tell the cabbie to take Paradise and it should be $14-15 plus tip.
Make sure the driver is told not to take the tunnel. This is the biggest rip off in Vegas. It will add $15 to the fare. Make sure he is told in no uncertain terms, despite any excuse he might come up with to use only the Swenson Street exit from the airport, the N on Swenson to Naples, west one block on Naples and south on Paradise to Twain (Spring Mountain) to the Wynn. This way with the very high $3.20 flag drop, $1.20 airport fee, and the high fee for waiting time you can get by for about $15 or so plus tip if earned. Remember, they will try to trick u in to allowing the tunnel, say NO at all costs!

The Taxicab Authority is tough on ripoff cab drivers, so don't
hesitate to report them if you get ripped off. Maybe someone else
can post more information on this. Also, try to have exact fare and
tip on you as I have sometimes had problems getting my change back
when handing them a couple of bills. LV cabdrivers think they have
a Godgiven right to a tip.
When I do take a cab from the airport I usually tell the driver as soon as I get in " I'm
going to the "blank Hotel" and you don't look like the type that would take me through the
tunnel just to overcharge me but if you are you can let me out right now". So far that
seems to work. I either get chatty types who claim they would never do that and hate
those other drivers that do, or I get a tellingly stony silence which seems to get me where
I'm going even more quickly!

saved me time from waiting for a cab and is worth it especially if one is by oneself.

Good point, have exact change. Just go to the slot change booth or attendant after you exit your plane or in baggage claim. It you don;t have a lot of luggage or are going downtown there is 24' bus service form the airport to downtown (#109 from the -0- level one level below bag claim)and 20' service (5am-1am) on the #108 that goes past the LV Hilton and The Sahara on the way downtown and within a block of the Hard Rock.
