Cab fare question
I'll preface this by saying that I dislike when people do what I'm about to do, which is to give a vague answer to a different question than the one you asked, but until someone else chimes in, it'll have to do 
I did Rio-to-South Point once and seem to remember it being something like $24-$26, or basically ~$30 including tip. So if you want to guesstimate what it is from downtown to the Rio...
All LV cab company rates are uniform, aren't they? $3.20 to get in the door and $2.40 per mile, plus red light time.

So maybe you could plug in your route into Google Maps, get the mileage, and estimate it that way.
