Buying Freebies from Casinos

I am a local in LV-live in the West, work in the East at a low income middle school. I give out 'tickets' to the kids for good behavior, and I had an idea for Christmas-that I could gather up a lot of 'freebies' from the Casinos, and the kids could buy those with their tickets as presents for their families. Examples would include picture frames, dishtowels, kitchen sets, etc that do not have casino logos on them or where the logo can be removed (ie: a sticker or tag). The problem is that I have about 35 kids and cannot possibly accumulate that many freebies between now and November. I'd like to buy some new freebies. If you have many (no clothing, please) that you would be willing to sell, please e-mail me w/ what you have and how many of each. Also let me know what price you would like for them. Thanks so much!!! =)

In case some of you missed my earlier post, Brad and I have volunteered to help in gathering any donations that members here might want to contribute. I know many locals have the same problem we do - so much "stuff" in their garages and closets that they have gotten from a casino and can't use. The biggest problem with our stuff collection is that so many are clothing items and/or have casino logos. But I am finding a number of things that would be suitable.

Anyone who has donations can e-mail me privately and we can arrange to get them from you, perhaps meeting at the Palms or at our condo, which is just a little over a mile west of the Palms.

If you have any questions about suitable donations, you can contact Alisa Nakano by e-mail: <deafteacher75@yahoo.com> I am assuming these could be gifts for adults (like their parents, grandparents, etc.) and for kids of all ages (their sisters and brothers, etc.)

Alisa says that she would like these little gifts by early November so the kids could be planning what they want to "buy" with their good behavior points!!!!

See below if you didn't read the original post describing this charitable cause.

Since these contributions need to be taken to the school before the first of November, time is getting short for us to facilitate pickups. However, we will be at the Palms at 7 p.m. this Fri., Sat., and Sunday for their
drawing - so this would be a good time for you to bring us your contributions. See us just
before the drawing or right after - near Kids Quest - I'll be the one with a
black cat or a pumpkin on my head!!!! If you have a lot of things, park in
the west garage and then after the drawing we could go with you and we could
make the transfer between the two vehicles.

Thanx for all who have contributed already or will be doing so soon.
