The #1 Virginia St. Bus runs about every 7-10 minutes during the day.
Fare is $1.65.
The stop to return is right across the street from the Peppermill. If
you're up for a walk,
there is a small lake just to the NW from the Peppermill, but otherwise
there is not much
of interest nearby.
FWIW, once you're at the Peppermill, the walk to Atlantis is doable. I've
never timed it, but I guess it's 15 or 20 minutes, enough to get a little
exercise in between VP sessions.
