Burn the Floor - highly recommended (also re Luxor seating)

"Burn the Floor" is a new show at the Luxor and is absolutely excellent if
you love dancing. Fans of "Dancing with the Stars" will definitely enjoy this
since a lot of it derives from modern ballroom dancing. Don't think of Fred
& Ginjer - think of fast salsa, dirty dancing, chacha and tango. Anyone who
loves good Broadway dancing also will love this. Kids can go too.

The dancing is often sexy, the energy is extremely high, and the dancers are
all excellent. Interestingly, they are international in origin - coming
from places like Russia, Australia, England, France, and more.

The 2 vocalists are also very good, and the male singer also does some
passable tap dancing. Two drummers accompany otherwise canned music, but the
quality of the sound was very good, so you couldn't really tell that a lot was
canned music.

Seats start at $29.99 and most seats are good ones. They also have Sat.
and Sunday matinees. Check for times at the Luxor.

Speaking of seats ONE WORD OF WARNING - the Luxor seats are extremely
narrow. Large people like myself may have problems fitting in them. Strangely,
apparently the closer to the stage you are, the narrower the seats. We
recently were in Row 2 for Liza Minnelli (excellent by the way). I really
couldn't fit in the seat. On previous occasions I was in the middle of the
orchestra and it was tight, but I did squeeze in.

To solve this problem - ask for ROW 0 - the Handicapped section. Some seats
are wider and have moveable arms. If you are over 250 pounds or very
tall/large, you will find these a lot better (though still somewhat tight).
