Brunch gift and other items

Nice going on the royal! We had pretty much the same experience you did -
got there around 4 PM on Saturday, could not get a reservation before 9:30 at
Tuscany or Michael Jordan, were able to get in to Pompeii and Caesars for 8
PM, very good meal as always there. Place was absolutely packed, had to play
in the smoking area for awhile when we first got there because the
non-smoking bar was filled. Up and down, nothing great to report. Brunch was ok (we
did the early one) but quite full - thought it was interesting that some people
felt that the table centerpieces were theirs for the taking<g>....don't know
whether there were any left for the later sitting but I saw some women
walking out with two - I'm always amazed when I see people doing this!

Got the offer for the Rachel Ray cookware but I'll be in New Orleans that
weekend so I'll miss it.

Saturday was the worst pickum session I can remember, 350 plus points and no
hand payouts, and it was just as ugly for my wife in Jacks. There were
plenty of machines to play, but I have never seen the casino so crowded. Four
concerts, New Kids, Temptations, Tower of Power, and Jimmy Buffet. We saw the
Temptations, but I didn't like it, my wife did.

Sunday, played some pickum early, and took out my 200 free play. Went to
lounge breakfast. Than back to the pickum machines. No seats, and it was
that way until we left around 4. Some people waited for long periods. I went
off to play Jacks, as I attempted to keep my average up. Things were not
going well, and low and behold, a ROYAL, and back to even for the weekend. A
break for brunch. The brunch was a slightly upgraded lounge breakfast, I don't
think anyone was impressed. I heard 10 seating was even more crowded than
the 12 seating. Every Sagamore in the world must have been there. No pickum's
so back to the bartops, with the football games, lots of people sitting at
the bars taking up space, so very little play. We headed home to a bday
party. The food was good, and it was held at SBC in Milford.

November 23rd gifts. I am getting Rachael Ray pots, and my wife is getting
a Cannon camcorder. I have more points than my wife this year, but her
average play days are higher. Average play has a huge impact on comps. What
else are people getting?

Have a great day, and ROYALS to all. Ciao Don

Thanks for all the replies. We'll try to use points for travel. Just
around the time we started accumulating lots of points, both of our
families decided to quit exchanging Christmas gifts, so can't do
that, although we do still buy small stuff if something seems just
right for someone.

Centerpieces are just thrown out. They are available for the taking, after the event is over. If I thought they were nice, I would take them myself. We got great roses at Valentines day. We did a random card draw for the centerpiece. We won, and the roses lasted a long time. All the tables at the second seating had centerpieces. Thanks for the congrats.

We are looking forward to Elton John, and Cirque. I am looking forward to the White Horses.

Have a great day, and royals to all. Ciao Don
