Brief trip notes, LV 12/11 - 12/15

Ellis Island has a bank of 6 machines adjacent to the coffee shop, right side as you face the coffee shop, with 9/6/90 JOB, 10/7 DB and FPDW, quarters. They are not eligible for any point multipliers. Pete the pitboss is still grumpy as ever but looks better in a suit and tie. When my brother did his matchplay Pete said " I wish they would take all these coupons and throw them in the ocean". The Ellis Island bartenders collectively are the least appreciative of a tip of any group of bartenders I have ever met. And Manny wasn't even working.

I stopped in Terrible's and the dealer at the roulette table was talking about some guy who was running multiple coupons and got into a fight with the pitboss and dealer. The dealer said the player gave him a one finger salute and left. I wonder if that was anyone I know.

$25 MP at the Westin required a slot club card to play it. If you go, don't go too early or there may not be any table games open.

$25 MP at the Sahara required a trip to the slot club booth to get the matchplay. You can't just play the coupon out of the American Casino Guide.

We went to Hard Rock for the steak and shrimp special. The quality of the meal is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The potatoes looked instant and shrimp were skimpy. The steak is smaller and the presentation not the best. On the plus side, if you valet, there is a $10 off food purchase, which was a nice bonus. I wonder how many people valet park, go to eat and never look at the valet slip.
