breaking two pair with faces

But when it is Aces the difference is marginal. And (trust me on this) it's
so much fun to complete four aces from that pair after you threw the other
pair that it's worth the small loss.

The FPDB bank was indeed moved to near the Keno (actually a pretty quiet
spot) and I can report that, at least on one machine, there were still four Aces

Karen's absolutely right. Even on a $1 10/7 machine you're talking
only a penny's difference.

However, on the old IGT machine I play (seldomly, now that it's chewed
me up and spit me out) quad Aces were a handpay and good for 10-15
minutes of idleness. On that machine I was content for a shot at $50,
especially when the Aces were shy about showing their faces all at once.

From a bankroll perspective, it's always more appropriate to go with
the hold that introduces less volatility to your play unless you
receive an appreciably higher return from the higher variance play.
(In this case, holding the two pair over the Aces is clearly
preferable - unless, that is, you're an adrenaline junky like Karen
and get a charge out of each shot at quad Aces

The best of both worlds can be found at MSS where holding only two
aces from a two pair hand is the correct play because of the average
bonus added by the scratch card on quads. It is a guilt free place to
play 10/7DB for quad ace thrill seekers. -JFR
