For all games where a high pair and two pair pay 5 coins and three of a kind pays 15 (The following does not apply to triple double bonus.) the break even point for the value of the four of a kind you hope to make has to be at least the following to break up two pair:
Full House pays 60 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 1074 coins or more.
Full House pays 55 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 939 coins or more. (Ex. In 11-7 triple bonus and 11-8 Nevada bonus break to hold aces but nothing else.)
Full House pays 50 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 804 coins or more. (Ex. In 10-7 double bonus you hold all two pairs
but in 10-6 double double bonus or double double jackpot you draw to a pair of aces because of the added value for four aces plus the kicker.)
Full House pays 45 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 670 coins or more (Ex. In 9-5 super double bonus do NOT break up JJ, QQ or KK as four of a kind only pays 600 coins. Do break to draw to AA.)
Full House pays 40 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 536 coins or more. (Ex. In 8-5 super double bonus draw to JJ, QQ or KK rather than two pair. In 8-6-5 double double jackpot the extra value for four pictures plus a kicker only makes the average of that four of a kind about 509 if no pictures are discarded which is NOT enough.)
Full House pays 35 - Break the two pair if the four of a kind pays 401 coins or more. (Ex. If you are stupid enough to be playing 7-5 bonus poker deluxe it is barely right to keep both pair.)

Subject: [vpFREE] breaking two pair with faces
Consider this:
You're playing a machine that pays the same for jacks or better and
two pair. You are dealt two pair: A pair of face cards and a pair of
not face cards. Since you have a guaranteed winner with the two
faces, should you throw the two other cards to open up threes- and
fours- of a kind (among other hands), or keep the two pair and stick
with the 4/47 chance for a full house? What's the statistically
better move?
Thanks
