I have read I think in Dan Paymars book that if you play $100 in a 9/6 $1,000 royal Jacks Or Better you have a 1 in 17 chance of getting a Royal.
My question today is what are the odds to get the royal. If you play $100 at at 8/5 Bonus Poker with the royal at $1,000

9/6 jacks with average quads and less returns 99.5-2-.5=97%
$100/($1.25x3%)=2,667 hands
chance of no royal: (1-1/40000)^2667=93.5%
8/5 bonus with average quads and less returns 99.2-2-.5-1.5-2=93.2%
$100/($1.25x7%)=1,143 hands
chance of no royal: (1-1/40000)^1143=97.2%

This is based ont eh avergae number of hands that you would get on a particular machine with a starting bankroll of $100 divided by the average number of hands to get a royal in the given game.
