Boyd YAH Wed bonus - 30x VP DOES exist...

Suncoast booted many players during their 10x point promotion a few
years ago. All were playing $2 or higher video poker. I can attest to
the fact that it wasn't just Bob Dancer.

Did they know who you really were? Would they have punished John
Smith for the same crimes?

As I recall, one of my royals there was dealt and two others were
1-card draws, such as a suited AKQJ with an off-suit 5. These are
usually 1-in-47 events on average. For me it was probably 2 successes
out of 5 tries, so I hit 3 royals in probably 10,000 hands. (being
over-royaled has certain benefits --- and certain costs. being
under-royaled sucks. Play enough and there will be times you
experience both ends of this. I've never figured out how to predict
when the next royal is coming.) $8,000 jackpots get them excited over
at Suncoast.

I don't think casinos target actual "names" anymore, it's too easy for players to change names and disguises or recruit family members or others to play instead, not to mention libel suits like the one against Griffin. Most casinos target what they think are "winners" and most casinos make the common mistake of assuming that someone who hits a taxable or jackpot must be a winner. It's also probably easier for them to just look through the taxable records and exclude the top 10 or whatever. This is not a smart business move on the part of casinos, assuming they are looking to increase gambling, but it is what it is. Banks are doing a similar thing in excluding customers with a lot of cash transactions on the assumption that they must all be drug dealers. The truth is some customers with a lot of cash transactions are just degenerate gamblers looking for a safe place to stash their gambling bankroll, and many gamblers with a lot of taxable jackpots are likewise just degenerate gamblers, losing more than they win over the long term. These are actually valuable customers, and if you're looking for customers, these would be the types you want for your business.
