Boyd YAH Wed bonus - 30x VP DOES exist...

Figures--spent couple of Wednesday's down there--started at Sam's Town--6X,
got greedy went to Gold Coast--5X, finally to Orleans--4X. I know the 30X
is there, because I did see it flash by as one of the alleged other
selections.

Still wonder if odds are really 1 in 6 you'd get a big one, though.
Couldn't get a straight answer from BConnected people, and nothing on the
website rules as to whether this is on the up and up.

Also, wonder if Gold Coast will be replacing their "Bonus Senior Day"
Mondays, when we could get 5X VP, with anything??

The Gold Coast January promotion for Mondays is now on their website.

Just remember, Bob D got excluded from all Boyd properties because he hit too many royals, probably because he was using maxEV per hand strategy, which is not the overall optimal strategy in this situation. I'm just sayin ...

As I recall, one of my royals there was dealt and two others were 1-card draws, such as a suited AKQJ with an off-suit 5. These are usually 1-in-47 events on average. For me it was probably 2 successes out of 5 tries, so I hit 3 royals in probably 10,000 hands. (being over-royaled has certain benefits --- and certain costs. being under-royaled sucks. Play enough and there will be times you experience both ends of this. I've never figured out how to predict when the next royal is coming.) $8,000 jackpots get them excited over at Suncoast.

How would NOTI recommend playing a suited AKQJ with an off-suit 5? I'm a stubborn guy. I'm going to go for the royal every time. My "mistake" was hitting three "big" jackpots essentially back-to-back-to-back.

Just sayin ...

With max-non-royal-hands strategy you would draw to AKQJs only if you didn't have a pat flush, straight, or high pair. 3 royals in 10,000 hands is pretty lucky, but it will still happen, even in max-non-royal-hands strategy, just less often. It's unfortunate, and short sighted, that casinos have chosen to punish gamblers who get royals, but the casinos make the rules, the players can only react to the rules.

Did they know who you really were? Would they have punished John Smith for the same crimes?
