Are there any good new player promos at the Boyd properties in Las Vegas?
If a new player gets tier points sufficient for Sapphire status within a day, can that
player get 11x points for the rest of the day… Or, is there any other way to get around
the insane rule that you must be Sapphire to get point multipliers.

It is a good question. I have thought of the same thing. In theory it seems you could expect to receive your 11xpoints on the same day Sapphire is reached. In practice their system is so convoluted there is probably a lag time before you are entered in the system correctly… Probably your only solution is to try it and complain like hell, if they don’t give you the points.
How much are you willing to risk on slots to gain Sapphire in a day. what slot machines would you play? I think there used to be some so called 98% payback 3 reel slots, but I don’t know if they exist anymore. I am interested because I have thought of doing the same thing, but right now I am continuing with my personal strike against Boyd. not that it would mean anything to them.

I’m not sure about these questions. The Gold Coast has signs around about 11x points Sunday through Thursday and there is no words about only for Sapphire and up. I assumed that rule was for TIER credits only - and if a promotion was based on tier credits it would apply. I did not think it was for POINTS, assuming everyone can earn points. Am I wrong?
Gold Coast also has the “Loyal to the Royal” promotion EVERY DAY in May. I assume everyone qualifies for that.
I need some input here!!!

Ruby players get NO points at all until they graduate up a tier to Emerald…That is why we are SO MAD. I will be surprised, if they do not lose a lot of business. although Stations is just as bad…Goodbye Vegas…no reason to go anymore…

Thanx SO SO much for all the input. I was very very wrong - I didn’t realize that Ruby’s can NEVER get any “points” - multiple or not - until they earn 750 tier credits to become the blue Sapphire.
However, I did verify that all players Sapphire and above (whether they get mailers or not) can earn 11x points Sunday through Thursday all of May except on May 28.

I have thought that if I were in Vegas I would try to find a loose keno paytable, perhaps in the 94-95% range, maybe a progressive keno that might be 96-97, etc., and earn my sapphire that way, quickly and reasonably cheap EV-wise, rather than grind away forever on a good video poker paytable. Just a thought.
