Boyd Onyx tier?

A Palms coupon booklet arrived in our mailbox today. It contains an offer that will allow a player who has achieved a higher tier card at other casinos to be upgraded to an equivalent tier at Palms. The offer includes a chart detailing which Palms tier will be awarded and the equivalent tier at competing casinos.

For instance, you can qualify for a Palms Hall of Fame tier if you are an Onyx card holder at Boyd properties!

I used google and found a few references to such a level, but no information of any consequence.

Does anyone have information to share about Onyx?

what does this mean far as I know the highest level at Boyd is emerald,For instance, you can qualify for a Palms Hall of Fame tier if you are an Onyx card holder at Boyd properties

I found out that the Onyx card at Boyd properties is by invitation only. Only a few people have them. I'll guess that it is based on losses.

According to the info in the booklet, Palms will give you their MVP card if you show them your Harrah's Diamond card by 6/30/14. You will also get 2 buffet passes and $25 in free play. The MVP card benefits are on their website.

No coupon book is required. I verified this before I ran it as a commercial on the radio last night. Also, one premium card per person.
