Boycotts

Greetings from Las Vegas, Home of Positive ER Video Poker:

I have forwarded Harry Porter's latest messages "Re: Boycotts" to
the FREEvpFREE group, and I will reply to them there. I suggest
that all discussions on boycotting tactics be conducted there.

I have also added "Boycotts 101" info to my boiler plate
disclaimer about Casino Patronage:

···

*****************

                  Casino Patronage and Boycott Disclaimer

As a general rule, casinos make changes in their video poker
inventory hoping/expecting that the changes will enhance the casino's
bottom line.

Winning/advantage video poker players who play positive situations in
a casino decrease that casino's bottom line.

Most other patronage tends to increase a casino's bottom line.

If video poker players wish to send a message to a particular
casino whose actions have displeased the players, they should
categorize their own skills and intended forms of patronage, and act
accordingly.

                               Boycotts 101

A boycott is an economic action designed to punish an offending
organization by withholding valuable patronage from the offending
organization, and thereby decrease the bottom line results of the
offending organization.

Advantage play on positive situations decreases the bottom line of a
casino, and is not valuable patronage.

The withholding of advantage play on positive situations will
increase a casino's bottom line and is thereby counterproductive to
any boycotting efforts.
