Yahoo puts you on their "Bouncing List" whenever any Email that
they send to you bounces. Short term down time by your ISP, a
full mail box, etc. will cause Yahoo to stop sending you Emails.
Whenever you are put on the "Bouncing List" it's a simple matter
to reactivate your account, but Yahoo sometimes/often stops sending
individual Emails, but delays in putting someone on the BL. During
this limbo period you have normal Home Page access and can still
post via Email but you won't be able to receive individual Emails.
