I think it was considered controversial because no other casino/hotel in Las Vegas or
Atlantic City has ever prohibited Gideon Bibles. Marriott Hotels also place the Book of
Mormon in their guest rooms, and I recently stayed in a hotel room near Zion National
Park that had Buddhist materials. I haven't heard of any clandestine plans on the part
of the Gideon Society, and I think that sort of activity would be unlikely. As to the
Borgota's decision, generally businesses of all sorts run from any conflict that could
potentially offend anyone.

What controversy? They decided not to have the Gideon Bible in
every room. I thought that was the end of the story. Has the Gideon
Society decided to plant unwanted Bibles in Borgata rooms?
