I decided that I perhaps needed to clarify my response since I believe you are very fond of the Borgata and part of this is a semantics issue.
In order to get the comps that I want, I generally play $1/2 video poker with some $5 thrown in. But since the Borgata cuts the comp/slot dollar rate on any multi-denomination machine that has a value greater than $1, I avoid those machines unless I have not reached my desire threshhold of play for a trip. In addition, I primarily play video poker to make money and do not value comps.
In my opinion, the video poker machines in the B-Bar are unplayable starting around 4:00 p.m for the rest of the evening. Not only do they have sticky keys (they are better than the used to be) but the music is excessively loud (I know people complain about Showboat/House of Blues which I think is tolerable but that is nothing compared to the B-Bar in the evening in my opinion) and then you have people falling all over you and knocking into you constantly. I don't find that a pleasant experience or a good environment to be playing in. I was there on Friday night and tried to play in the B-Bar in the evening since that was where I started earlier in the day and people constantly kept bumping into me and never said a word of "excuse me" or "sorry".
So for me in the evening, there are three machines in front of the cashier to play and then the machines in the B-Bar in the morning. A total of about ten machines.
For the quarter player there are about eleven machines near the buffet plus the ones in the B-Bar.
If you know of more at the dollar level, please point me to them.
But if I were a visitor and someone told me that there were JOB machines "all over the casino floor", I would be disappointed with what I found.
