Terry,

Ace and a suited high card is not the correct hold at reset. I haven't run the breakpoints yet but the plays are about a penny apart. Since hitting the RF from a 2 card hold is a 1 in 16,215 event ( approximately) I think the progressive has to move quite a bit to make the 2 card RF the correct hold.

If I get motivated, I'll run Winpoker and find the breakpoints for the common holds and report back. That progressive is fun but without hitting 5 of a kinds, you will chew through money pretty quickly. Until you hit quints or better, expect to run through about $200/hour. Yes, at quarters.

Johnny Z,

   Running my VPSM (Video Poker Strategy Master)program and setting
the Royal at $1250,(5000) the chart says to hold AK,AQ,AJ,A10 suited
with no deuce. I would never play those money munching machines at
anything less than that unless I was really bored, which I am very
often in casinos.

   It is a fun game to play though. NSUD can put you to sleep after
re-drawing 4 or 5 times in a row. The progressive royal, 5 of a
kinds, (especially the 5 aces), and the 4 deuces with the ace kicker
possibilities make it interesting and keeps you alert.
