Bob Dancer's LV Advisor Column - 9 JUL 2013

The advice in this article is sound. The Revel promotion is all about what you lose in July, and the only method they have for determining that is via the slot card. When certain players pull their card in an attempt to overstate actual losses--and therefore knowingly steal more rebate than they are entitled to--it is clearly cheating and quite possibly a criminal attempt at defrauding the casino. And any strong, intelligent gambler would have realized they were not gonna get away with this scam at the start, with so much at stake for the casino. People on WoV can whine all they like, but their real gripe is that they got out-smarter by the casino on this. Kudos to Revel for trying to keep this clean.

Scamming casino? You gotta be kidding. Revel has cheated customers who lost playing by their rules by not allowing them the rebate. It's one thing telling them they can't participate any longer, but an entirely different matter cheating the players out of what's rightfully theirs. I hope Revel gets hit with such a large lawsuit they close down. They're miserable scum from my point of view.

First of all, it irritates me that RS is generally agreeing with me on this subject. As difficult as it is for me to believe, he's actually correct this time.
That said, the players who have been complaining about how unfair the Revel is have been doing so only to the "players' press," meaning vpFREE, wizardofvegas, and certain other sites. This is like religious fanatics only talking to others who share the same core beliefs. People outside of their particular belief system think these people are crazy and should get a life. Which is how whining players appear to the general public.
Any player with hard evidence that Revel is not doing what they promised should go to mainstream press --- major newspapers and television stations --- in addition to contacting the NJ CCC. This simply hasn't happened. Doesn't it make you wonder why?
There have definitely been a few card pullers who have been run out of there. I suspect the casino has quite a bit of surveillance documentation on anyone they've eliminated for this. I'm sure it's within the rules that artificially manipulating your score in order to show more losses is reason to be removed from the promotion.
But a card-puller crying "foul!" and then conveniently omitting from his account exactly what he did to be kicked out is hardly evidence the casino is cheating. And as we see from the statement at the top from Yates' (among many others), many players are very prepared to believe these accounts. They don't know what the evidence is, but they are willing the believe the casino is run by a bunch of scheming cheats.
Only convincing wannabe advantage players that cheating is going on doesn't hurt the Revel at all. If you can convince mainstream gamblers the Revel is cheating (and these folks don't read vpFREE, wizardofvegas, etc. but they do read the Alantic City Press, New York Times, and listen to NBC news, etc.) then you've accomplished something. And this simply hasn't happened. Most likely because the promotion is being run far more on the up and up than players here think it has. firs
If I lived a lot closer, I would definitely play this promotion --- although I would first check with casino management to make sure i was welcome. I would read the rules carefully first. Playing the largest denomination slot machine I could find until I either hit big or lost $100,000 would give me a sizeable EV that is hard to get anywhere else these days.

Put your money where your mouth is. I know you are wrong, lets make a bet. We can escrow the money to a trusted source sonce you dont know me.I know several of the legitimate players that were removed, and they aren't talking to the press because of developing lawsuits.

Also, I know it's a rumor, but many people are saying you are consulting for the revel on this promo. Can you go on the record and officially deny this?

I'll be addressing that rumor on tomorrow's Gambling with an Edge radio show. You can listen live 7-8 p.m. Vegas time (1230 AM radio in Las Vegas --- www.klav1230am.com from anywhere) or you can download it for free Friday morning from bobdancer.com or from richardmunchkin.com

Why do you bother?

While having people talk trash about you hurts, any denials will only feed the paranoid.

To all the people who keep claiming with no evidence that everything is ok, here are the terms of a bet I will book. We each put up 1k and send it to a third party (someone like mike shakelford). The rules are if people who played the promotion straight up with no deception were banned, then I win. If not, then you win. The bet will be resolved by asking a gaming lawyer on the gawe radio show. One of the ones that goes on frequently. We agree to abide by the decision.

This is free money for me. If you are so confident everything is fine, then book it.
