All completely overthought points and each one couldhave a very good answer to it as to why to Twitter.
I don't to it myself. But If Mister Dancer wanted tomake more money of his books/cards/services,he could just hire a smart High School tech internto take care of his twittering.
He could share some excitement and some headlines.He could post a day after he leaved the casino with apickup truck full of hundreds. He could not tell anyoneabout his secret plays (still).
The twitter universe is another separate world thatcan be mined. And for Mister Dancer to a) write itoff summarily and b) talk himself into it with talkingpoints that don't really apply, just show's it's toughto change when you're an old guy.
I'm the same way, yes, it takes one to know one.
Marketing wizards don't use Twitter for their health.It's a new market and a different reach.

He already has a radio show, can't go back. Next step is a Reality TV show ... about two old guys who have a radio show in Vegas about gambling, think of it like the Vegas version of CarTalk or Prairie Home Companion or the Bob and Ray show:
