Interesting article, in it he discusses some changes of strategy
between 9/6 and 9/5 DDB, among other things, and the points will be
part of a chapter of a fothcoming book. I can think of a complication
to add. Some examples discussed include two or three cards to a
Royal. What happens when one is playing a DDB 9/5 progressive? At
what value of the progressive does one play 9/5 like 9/6, if any? It
is all of these considerations that drives one nuts in VP if the
memory is not in top shape. I tend to be sloppy with DDB, I just do a
JB strategy with some rule changes like keeping open straights, pair
of aces in two pairs, triple aces in full houses. No doubt I'm giving
up some value when playing DDB. I look forward to the book and that
chapter on DDB in particular.
