Babe

If two mentions is "liberally peppered", then I'd be hesitant to think how
your cooking must turn out.

I'm not quite sure why the "can't we all get along" folks here are so down on
Dancer.

First of all, what makes you think I cook? Could it be because
you think I'm a ..........female ?

I'm sure that if you wait awhile, one of the "why can't we get along
folks" will explain why he or she feels as they do about BD.

BTW, thanks for illustrating to us "wcwgaf" how to write a proper
post.

dont know either, i find him more honest & outfront about what he wants
& what he will do to get it than other people that post & advertise on
this site.

I suppose I'll regret this but the article seemed accurate to me. I'd
use the word balanced.

No need for regret in my eyes. While not nearly as complimentary as
they might reasonably have been, Bob's remarks about vpFREE are
accurate and matter of fact. That's pretty much his style. ("Cheap
shot", Skip? ... that's a little thinned skinned on behalf of the group.)

If there's room for a little bristling, I'd have expected it to be on
the part of the likes of Tom Ski and Jean Scott/Jim Wolf. Bob's close
to entirely dismissive of strategy generation programs currently on
the market. That's a bit hard to stomach.

Maybe. The information offered on VPFREE is (I'd guess) probably better than 90-95% accurate and he can offer no alternative. The real point is, it's never possible to be 100% accurate in this kind of thing (and if I am an expert on anything, it's this). Bob knows that. So, while his statement that "The information gathered by that website is gathered by volunteers, and these volunteers are not always completely knowledgeable and diligent," may be accurate, it was also gratuitous and unnecessary.

Bob has never had much compunction about advancing his products and downgrading others in his columns or anywhere else. Actually, doing it in his columns is one of his more aboveboard methods.

I probably should have been more specific. My comments were only
intended to reflect my perception of the para on VPFREE. A forum I
find of great value by the way.

No need -- I got that. My side to Skip was merely to kill two birds
(er, replies) with one stone.
