I believe that if a normal person spends x amount of time learning and
practicing a penalty-free strategy or x amount of time learning and
practicing a strategy with penalty cards, he will play the penalty-free
strategy more accurately overall and probably achieve a higher ER
accuracy with the penalty free strategy than he would with the more
complex strategy.
I was playing NSUD (the game you invented back in the late 50's) the other
night and started thinking about penalty cards. I realized I slow down
sometimes just to scan the two or more choices in the dealt five cards. When I looked
at penalty card for a st made with a Deuce I didn't feel I slowed more than
normal. So what's the big deal? What would the non penalty way be of looking
at W567 unsuited in NSUD? And, how much do you weigh?
BTW, I saw the former un-anonymous vpFREE administrator playing "your" game
and noticed he was playing at a steadier cadence than any other player I've
seen, never varied his speed. It was not real fast but very steady. Anybody
else notice that about the un-anonymous former administrator?
