I was going to submit that the "Monty Hall paradox" is not a paradox but a puzzle, scheme, shell game, scenario, etc. (A paradox is an apparent or seeming contradiction of two or more statements). However, in Googling "Monte Hall" they in fact describe this as the "Monte Hall paradox" because the solution is counter-intuitive, i.e. a seeming contradiction. So you're correct in your description.
Good article. Haven't seen the movie yet but it sounds interesting.
