Good luck with the diet/exercise program, Bob. Your thoroughness and
dedication to vp has been an inspiration to me. If you take the same
approach to diet and exercise, I am sure that you will make it work.

Great article Bob. Congrats on your accomplishments to date, and good luck on the rest of the journey. FYI, I've found that many casinos are willing to accommodate dietary issues and are more than happy to leave off sauces, serve dressings on the side, etc. and some restaurants (like the coffee shop in the Hard Rock and the coffee shop at the Casuarina) are willing to substitute fresh fruit (or salad) for the potatoes. I know you generally don't have issues with assertiveness, but don't be shy in restaurants; it can make the difference between success and failure.

One of the best things I've learned in my own weight loss journey is, "If you're eating out because you don't feel like cooking (or because you have a comp to use), eat like you'd eat at home. If you only indulge when it's your birthday or anniversary, you should be ok."

  I hope this helps.

ps, I have lots more tips for dining out while trying to lose weight. Anyone on the list who wants more info can feel free to email me privately for more info.

That was a very nice article Bob! Writing a column like this one
thinking about others and most importantly their well beings is very
very nice! NO WONDER YOU ARE MY NUMBER 1 VIDEO POKER IDOL
And with that, I won't be making up stories about you and those hot
dogs at the Gold Coast --- that was really meant as a teaser for
myself to help me avoid junk foods and fix my cholesterol problem.
All those free casino steaks and lobsters.....yummy yumm yumm but,
no more for now!

I won't be running or working out with a professional trainer like
you but I should at least go back to playing basketball and tennis 2-
3 times a week.

Lots of luck to your diet and exercise program. For sure the end
result will be like hitting Progressive, Sequential Royal Flush
while at the same time hitting that BIG Jumbo Jackpot!!!
Congratulations to a very wise decision!

Sonds like you are on the right track .

sensible diet and exersize are the halmarks of a sound weightloss plan.

combining cardiovascular exersize with an fairly rigorious anaerobic
weight training regimen is really the one two punch for that spare
tire.

all this mixed in with a bit of seated meditation will clear that head
and body up in no time flat.
