The information Dancer received is in error: in Illinois, W2G's are issued without ANY state income tax withholding.

Concur, not that there's anything worth playing in IL anymore. 2000-2003, Chicagoland probably the best place to play VP in the country.

IN is 3.4%, but refundable to the extent of the net win for the year (if any).

MI is 4%, but only taken from non-residents. It is theoretically refundable, but I have heard you can't deduct losses from wins.
