One thing to note on the subject of "even money" in VP, meaning only getting your money back on a bet, is that it is really better than "even money" on any game on which you are earning slot club points or receiving a promotion premium, like drawing tickets. It might not seem much if you figure the value of this on one hand, even at a high denomination. But, if you take into consideration the big percentage of hands with that as the result, it is one of the most amazing things about the game of VP in a casino - "even money" is a "win."

Good point. You are exactly correct. Comps at video poker are
typically quite a bit higher than they are at blackjack (usually
recorded as average bet times hours played). A push still keeps the
clock going at blackjack.

Even with slot points earned or drawing tickets received, I think it
is still "even money" UNTIL the points/drawing tickets earned are
utilized or used. For some reason or another, not all players take
advantage of these points/drawing tickets earned (promo expiration
date reached, player couldn't find time to attend the drawings, etc.).
...just a thought...
